John Daly to Release an autobiography come Monday - Gambling is included
The Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas-----------PGA Golfer, John Daly
John Daly will be releasing a book next Monday called "John Daly: My Life IN and Out of the Rough." Daily discusses many things including his addiction to gambling which will be located in his final chapter. Daly says in book that gambling might do him more harm than drinking
He told one story of earning $750,000 when he lost in a playoff to Tiger Woods last fall in San Francisco at a World Golf Championship. Instead of going home, he drove to Las Vegas and says he lost $1.65 million in five hours playing mostly $5,000 slot machines.
"If I don't get control of my gambling, it's going to flat-out ruin me," he says in the book, co-written with Glen Waggoner and published by HarperCollins.
Keep in mind, I think that 75% of the players on the PGA Tour are pretty hefty gamblers. I dont think they all have these kinds of problems like John Daly has, but however, its in their blood. Trust me, go out to the nearest Country Club, go hang out at the Clubhouse. You walk inside the men's restroom/locker room and you will see a bunch of old men playing Texas Hold 'Em. Hang around outside and inside the clubhouse for a minute, and you will hear guys say these words..... "What are we playing for, $20 or $50 a hole this time or what?"
This might be a very interesting book to read. I'm not too sure if I will purchase it or not simply because.....I'm not that big a reader, but never the less, I am curious what all he has to say!
