Let's Rename ACC Coach Of The Year Award To .......
My generation grew up watching David Copperfield demonstrate unbelievable magic tricks that your brain had no possible way in figuring out. Today's generation of kids don't have to wait once every 3 months for David Copperfield to show up on an ABC special like we had to. Nah, all they have to do is tune in to ESPN or Lincoln Financial every Saturday to watch the Wake Forest Demon Deacons play and they'll see the best magic ever performed!
Even though Ralph Friedgen performed an unexplainable magic trick this past Saturday against the Clemson Tigers, to some he might be a nominee for 2006 ACC Magician Of The Year. But today, on here, he'll just get an honorable mention. Matter of fact, if Wake Forest can knock off Florida State this Saturday in Tallahassee, we'll go ahead and jump the gun and give Jim Grobe the award.
Coaches Who Lost ACC Magician Of The Year Award And When
1. Clemson (Tommy Bowden) - Week 2 @ Boston College
2. Miami (Larry Coker)- Week 1 lost to FSU at home
3. N.C. State (Chuck Amato) - Week 2 lost to Akron @ home
4. Georgia Tech (Chan Gailey) - I was never going to give them this award anyways
5. Florida State (Bobby Bowden) - Pre-season for allowing Jeff Bowden to stay on staff

question is when will Jim Grobe get offered a bigger head coaching job at the end of this year?

Of course he will. The question is how many. The Deacons won't be the only team he is dealing with around bowl season.
