What's Spurrier Meaning Exactly By Holding His Index Finger Up Like That?

There are a lot of hidden messages out there in today's world. We hear it and see it in songs, pictures, press conferences, etc. If you look at the picture above, you see Steve Spurrier holding his right hand up with his index finger flipped out, and his other fingers curled in, what's the hidden message here?
Does it mean?
1. We're #1?
2. Wait right there, we're not #1 yet?
3. It's not a hidden message at all, he just extended the wrong finger towards a Clemson fan?
4. Our season isn't over with, we have a bowl game to play?
5. It's not a hidden message at all, he's directing the police to get someone?
6. He's giving praise to the good Lord above?
7. I'm #1, and I'm going to Miami?
8. It's not a hidden message at all, he's trying out for that "Sure" deodorant commercial?
9. We have 1 more game left until I go to Miami?

What We Know
1
. CSTV reported Sunday Morning that Steve Spurrier was likely headed to Miami at season's end.
2. ESPN's Joe Schad reported Sunday Morning Miami's top choice for coach is Steve Spurrier.
3. Steve Spurrier denied he has had any contact with Miami during his weekly teleconference with reporters and stated he would like to stay at South Carolina and win the SEC. However, he stated that it was flattering to be mentioned in connection with a program of Miami's elite stature.
4. CSTV responded by reinterating the initial report and quoting additional sources that state Spurrier would like out at South Carolina and would welcome the opportunity to coach Miami.
5. Larry Coker stated " I think he'd (Spurrier) be a good candidate if this job was open. I know Steve. If this job were open I think he'd be a heck of a nice candidate."

Rumors and Speculation From Various Websites:
1
. Miami and South Carolina are already discussing a buyout package.
2. Steve Spurrier has already been contacting potential staff at Miami.
3. South Carolina will be charged with major violations by the NCAA and thus Spurrier will want to bail.
4. Paul Dee has had this trial balloon floated in order to put pressure on Rutgers Head Coach and Former UM 5. Defensive Coordinator Greg Schiano to make a decision about whether or not to accept a forthcoming offer from Miami.
6. Spurrier will recieve an extension at South Carolina that makes him the 2nd highest paid coach in College Football.
7. Steve Spurrier is going to leave South Carolina regardless, having determined much like the Redskins situation he cannot win there.
8. Larry Coker will be retained by Miami if he beats BC Thanksgiving Night and fired after next season unless Miami wins the ACC. That will allow Miami to save on a potential buyout and would make Spurrier and Schiano "more available."

Wow......are you guys that scared?

Clemson should throw their name in the Steve Spurrier sweepstakes since Tommy Bowden has taken you guys as far as he can. Im sure you guys were saying.....Tommy please make it to the ACC Title game before Wake Forest does. Dont let Jim Grobe make it in 6 years while after 8 years you still have not taken us there.

Clemson has the talent but Steve Spurrier took your coaching staff behind the woodshed Saturday and if I was a Clemson fan I would make post after post about him leaving to ease that feeling deep down in the pit of my stomach about what Spurrier might actually accomplish at USC.

Ok, first of all, I am not scared of Steve Spurrier, and I don't think any Clemson fan is for that matter. Yes, South Carolina did win. Yes, Spurrier did outcoach Bowden. But now you find out how good of a coach Bowden is. The bar has been set by Spurrier. It is a rivarly again. I have a feeling that Tommy Bowden will respond in a positive fashion.

As far as he can take Clemson...please. Yes, this season ended less than spectacular for Clemson, but to say that Bowden has taken Clemson as far as he can is ridiculous. The talent has been upgraded, last year and this year's recruiting classes have been and are going to be stellar, and Clemson is only a couple of points away from playing in their second consecutive ACC championship game. Yes...second consecutive.

Congrats to South Carolina and congrats to Steve Spurrier. I think that he did a fantastic job the last part of the season, and will do a great job in the future at South Carolina. However, the numbers don't lie. You come on here talking all this shit, and you still finished 4th place in the SEC East...behind Kentucky.

Please don't act like you have arrived all of the sudden.

I would much rather finish 4th in a division that included Florida, Tennessee and Georgia then I would in a division with Wake Forest, Boston College and Maryland.

Jeff, your tigernet brethern dont agree with you. Its always an excuse with Bowden about why you guys didnt win a certain game you should have.

Can you sit there with a straight face and tell me that Clemson was not the best overall team in the ACC this year? Wake Forest had injuries too but they are playing in the title game.

Whatever, you and Reese go make another blog about how Steve Spurrier is going somewhere else when he isnt going anywhere..........just wishful thinking.

I could care less about Steve Spurrier. The guy is a great coach, I will agree with that. The only reason anyone makes up rumors about him going somewhere is to make guys like you squirm.

Was Clemson talented? Yes, they were. Probably as much as any team in our division of the ACC. But the only loss that I sulk about is the Maryland loss. That was the one we should have won. Boston College is very talented and one of the more well coached teams in the nation.

I think our injuries were a bit more severe than the ones that Wake Forest had just to be honest. Do you think that having Roman Fry, Anthony Waters, Tremaine Billie, and Rendrick Taylor might have made a one point difference versus Maryland and BC or a three point difference against South Carolina? I do. Maybe not in all of those games, but at least in one or two.

I am not going to cry over injuries. They are part of the game.

By the way, what suddenly made Tigernet a credible source?

Tigernet is the end all know all of everything. It ranks up there with FGF as the top 2 websites for credible information on Clemson and USC. Where else can you read Coot or Tater 145,679,073 times a day?

And im not squirming. I've said it time and time again that he is not going anywhere and he has said so himself. But hey Reese putting that blog up did get me to respond so I guess it did work.

Good luck to you guys in the bowl game.

Spurrier would be crazy for not leaving that hellhole called Columbia, SC and not going to Miami. Who cares that USC has better fan attendance? Who cares that he might get a membership to Augusta National? The fact is, he has a shot to win a national championship at Miami, and no shot to ever win a Nat. Champ at USC. He knows this guys.

Which is why he chose the South Carolina job over LSU and Florida right? Of course the schedule at Miami will be a little easier but in the new ACC it is not the cakewalk that it used to be. I would easily choose LSU or Florida over Miami.

Miami is the easiest school in the nation to recruit. They can draw a 50 mile circle around the city of Miami and get EVERY prospect that they need. That alone is why if I were in the coaching business, I would choose Miami. Florida and LSU cannot do that.
