Matt's and Reese's Picks - Week 6
Matt's Picks (14-8-3)
1. Clemson -16 @ Wake Forest - Groves Stadium is a veritable house of horrors for Clemson. The Deacs won't win, but they cover.
2. LSU -2 @ Florida - Vegas has it right. The Tigers are the better team. They cover in the Swamp.
3. Texas -5.5 @ Oklahoma - AP and the Sooners keep it close.
4. South Carolina -6.5 @ Kentucky - Kentucky has a decent team this year and the game is usually close in Lexington. Cat's make a game of it, but lose by fewer than 6.
5. Tennessee -2 @ Georgia - 4 of the 5 games we chose this week involve road favorites. The Vols join the Tigers as the two that will cover.

Reese's Picks (15-7-3)
1. Clemson -16 @ Wake Forest - Take Clemson To Cover - Not 100% sure on this one, but I feel that Clemson is the real deal this year.
2. LSU -2 @ Florida - Take LSU To Cover
3. Texas -5.5 @ Oklahoma - Take Texas To Cover - Oklahoma Sooners are SO overrated!
4. South Carolina -6.5 @ Kentucky - Take Kentucky to cover - It's an ESPN game, you can best believe Carolina will choke
5. Tennessee -2 @ Georgia - Take Tennessee to Cover - I could see Georgia having a coming out party possibly, but bottom line ..... they're not any good.

I thought I had made a mistake going to Winston-Salem yesterday, but wow. One area that I haven't seen anything written about was the Wake Forest punting game. Did anybody else notice this? They were incredible! I have never seen a team pin perfect punts on the 1 2 and 3 yard line, over and over again. I don't think this kid ever got a touchback. Just something I notcied.

John,
Matt went to the wake/clemson game as well. If I was there, I would have left the game at halftime and never returned.
It's amazing that little wake forest can recruit stud kickers and clemson cannot and its amazing that can execute on special teams. Why Bowden didn't tell Jacoby Ford to drop back to the 20 yard line and try and run up and catch before the bounce is beyond me.

Well... according to my cousin helping out with special teams... Jacoby has smalls hands and wasn't catching well coming into this season. He's pretty much in there for the "perfect bounce" or open field return. But yes... we should have put somebody in to catch after the first 2 haha. Have a good one!
