Not Trying To Jump The Gun But .........

ESPN Gameday in Columbia, SC 2 Years ago

Even though I'm really not a fan of 2 of the 3 guys above, and could honeslty care less about "ESPN Gameday," I will admit that it would still be very cool if the Georgia Tech @ Clemson game on October 21st ends up being in Death Valley. Not trying to jump the gun but I don't see Georgia Tech losing before this date and I don't see Clemson losing again before this date either. Right now the Clemson Tigers are ranked #15th in the Country and the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets are ranked #20, both teams sitting at 4-1.

Clemson meets Wake Forest and Temple, so by the time October 21st rolls around they will be 6-1, and Georgia Tech plays Maryland and a bye week so they should be sitting aroudn 5-1. I would like to think both teams will probably be ranked around 17 or lower therefore placing them in the hunt to achieve ESPN Gameday status. However, there will be a few other games on that day that could possibly be ahead of GT @ Clemson so it may not happen, and of course, Clemson and GT both need to do their part and not blow it against Maryland and not blow it in Winstom Salem.

Which Game Should ESPN Choose To Be Their Gameday Game On October 21st?
Texas @ Nebraska
Alabama @ Tennessee
Georgia Tech @ Clemson
Iowa @ Michigan

Will The South Carolina Gamecocks Ever Host ESPN Gameday Ever Again?
Yes
No

Since Gameday is now ABC's bitch does it really matter? I think this week they are actually going to the Swamp for the Florida-LSU game but thats because so many SEC fans have bitched about it. GT-Clemson will most likely get picked up by ABC so if that is the case then Gameday has a very good shot at going to Clemson.

And yes I think Gameday will be back at South Carolina at some point. Then again since South Carolina is in the SEC and they dont want to go to games that could be broadcast on CBS then maybe they wont.

Honestly I cant stand gameday anymore because they are supposed to go to the biggest game of the week not just follow around Notre Dame or Ohio State all season.

It does seem like you have to be in the Big 10 these days.... or be Notre Dame, which might as well be in the Big Ten.

This could just be hearsay... but I heard that when the ACC signed with ABC/ESPN one stipulation was that Clemson's homecoming game had to be a daytime game. That could just be bulljive, but if that is so, Gameday usually picks a game starting at 5 or later. I don't know if that is by rule or not. I would love to see a Gameday in Clemson! We just shouldn't overlook Wake Forest. Go Tigers!
