Giles!!!! Sit Down, It's Wilson's Turn.
Giles has 303 at bats on the year compared to Betemits 145. It's a rather large difference. Giles has had 158 more at bats than Betemit. What has he done with them...... Well he has 10 more RBI's with 28 and one fewer homerun than Betemit with 5. Sure, I know what your thinking, Giles is the leadoff man his RBI total and homerun total should be lower.
The thing is Giles is a horrible leadoff hitter. Saying he is horrible is letting him off easy. He stinks! He has a .332 On Base Percentage (OBP), .353 Slugging Percentage (SLG) and a .241 Batting Average (BA). Betemit's on base percentage is 8 points higher, Slugging percentage is 73 points higher and his batting average is 35 points higher. Why is Betemit on the bench?

As much as I'd like to see Wilson playing, Giles will come around and end up having a good year. He has now homered in 2 straight games, he will turn it around but yes Wilson needs more playing time.

After this stretch of 5 games, I'm ready for Wilson to play everyday. Trade Giles for pitching.
